Radian CEO S.A. Ibrahim to Deliver Luncheon Address at Wharton Seminar for Business Journalists on Fed Policy & Real Estate on March 3

In his luncheon address, Ibrahim will set the stage for the evolving mortgage marketplace and address the issues of homeownership access, affordability and sustainability. He will also underline what the current demographic, economic and social changes mean for housing in America.

A long-time veteran of the US mortgage finance industry, Ibrahim has been CEO of Radian since 2005. Prior to joining Radian, he was CEO of GreenPoint Mortgage Funding. His board memberships have included the Fannie Mae National Advisory Board and the Mortgage Bankers Association Board of Governors. Currently, he serves on several boards including the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Education in New York, the Wharton Graduate Executive Board, the Academy of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Philadelphia Anti-Defamation League. Mr. Ibrahim holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BE in Engineering from Osmania University in India.

Faculty lectures delivered during the March 3 seminar will be led by Adjunct Associate Professor of Real Estate, Sam Chandan and Assistant Professor of Legal Studies and Business Ethics, Peter Conti-Brown, both frequently sourced experts on commercial real estate and Fed policy matters. Chandan, whose research and market commentary are focused on commercial real estate capital markets, the structure and regulation of apartment housing finance, and the credit performance of residential and commercial mortgages, will be covering “Real Estate Trends” in the morning. Conti-Brown, a financial historian and a legal scholar, who studies central banking, financial regulation, and public finance, with a particular focus on the history and policies of the US Federal Reserve System will provide afternoon insights into “The Future of the Federal Reserve.”
