Radian Expands Sales Force

PHILADELPHIA, Sep 28, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Radian Guaranty Inc., the mortgage insurance (MI) subsidiary of Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN), today announced it has expanded its sales force with the addition of eight sales representatives in key locations across the U.S.

"Since the beginning of the year, Radian has signed over 200 new customers. It's important we have experienced industry professionals in key markets to continue our success in developing new partnerships and in growing market share with our existing customers," said Brien McMahon, chief franchise officer at Radian. "This, along with the recent launch of our new PowerPak of programs, pricing and products, positions us even more strongly to take advantage of recent market dynamics, such as the planned GSE and FHA loan limit rollback that have led to an increase in demand for MI - Radian is stepping to the forefront, competing for that business."

The new sales team members are:

• Christine Brown, who has worked in the MI industry for nearly 30 years. An award-winning sales executive, Ms. Brown served most recently as Vice President of Sales in the Eastern division of InHouse Solutions, an appraisal management company providing solutions to the mortgage lending industry. As a Radian Senior Account Manager, she will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers in Maryland and Washington, D.C.
• Katherina DiMartino, a mortgage professional with 16 years of mortgage and MI experience. Most recently, Ms. DiMartino was a Sales Relations Manager with USA Mortgage, where she was responsible for the integration of new Account Executives, managed loan inventory and coordinated training and development needs. Ms. DiMartino is a member of the Missouri Association of Mortgage Professionals, Missouri Mortgage Bankers Association and once served as Vice President of the Association of Professional Mortgage Women. As a Radian Senior Account Manager, she will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers in southern Illinois and Indiana, and Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, and Ohio.
• Rona Draper, a sales management professional with nearly two decades of experience in the mortgage industry. Ms. Draper served most recently as a Business Development/Regional Recruiter at Eagle Home Mortgage, where she was responsible for sourcing, recruiting and managing the successful on-boarding of loan officers. As a Director of Regional New Business Development, Ms. Draper will be responsible for developing new business opportunities in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
• Deanna Kase, a top-performing sales executive with two decades of experience in the mortgage and MI industries. Ms. Kase served most recently as a Business Development Officer with Tampa, FL-based Stewart Title Company. Prior to that, she held a variety of sales and marketing positions throughout the state of Florida in the mortgage industry. Ms. Kase served as President of the Tampa Bay Mortgage Bankers Association. As a Radian Senior Account Manager, she will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers in the Tampa Bay area and northern Florida.
• Baird Marble, a mortgage banking professional with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Mr. Marble previously served as a Wholesale Representative at IndyMac before moving into their Correspondent Division, covering southern California. In 2006 and 2007, he was IndyMac's top ranked Correspondent Representative in the country. As a Radian Senior Account Manager, Mr. Marble will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers in southern California.
• Rebecca McDermott, a veteran of the mortgage and MI industries with over 25 years' experience. Ms. McDermott worked most recently with TXL Mortgage in Houston, where she was recruited by the president of the company to increase the efficiencies and productivity of its top producers. She has also held various sales and secondary marketing positions with other private mortgage insurers and is a past President of the Houston Mortgage Bankers Association. As a Radian Senior Account Manager, Ms. McDermott will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers in southern Texas.
• Paul Pritchett, who most recently served as Vice President and Account Manager with Affiliated Mortgage Company. In that role, Mr. Pritchett was recognized for building cross-functional, collaborative teams that share best practices, as well as developed untapped territories and turned underperforming territories into profit centers. As a Radian Senior Account Manager, he will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers in northern Texas.
• David Shuart, a mortgage lending executive with deep experience in developing key national accounts, building long term relationships and sales strategies. Mr. Shuart served most recently as National Accounts Vice President with another private mortgage insurer. He is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) with the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and is a graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking. As a Director of Regional New Business Development, Mr. Shuart will be responsible for developing new business opportunities in Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas.
